Why Jinn Enters Our Body & Possess Us?

Jinns are the another creations of Allah (God) who was created before the mankind just to worship him and abide by his principles. They're known as Demons, Evil spirits, Yokai, Oni, Ghost in different culture. Jinns are appear look to diffrent than humans but they possess the same attribute as human like they're sensible, intelligent, has different personality and attitude. They can talk, marry, have childrens and have ability to choose between right or wrong. Unike humans, Jinn are gifted with abilities that are impossible for humans to achieve like flying to the greater distance within a matter of  seconds, they can shapeshift, some of them have super strength that can lift an entire mountain. Another ability they mostly uses is entering inside the human body which is something the Jinn enjoys. There's many ways the Jinn enters our body as many possessed person goes to Raqi (exorcist) who can cast the Jinn away from possessed human. The Raqi knows the technique to talk with the Jinn who possessed the person. The Jinns give various reasons of why they possessed or entered that person's body in first place. Here's the 9 reasons listed below:

1. Ashiq (Love)

There are many Jinns especially the evil Jinn, the offsprings of satan sometime falls in love with a particular human being. Maybe that human being appears to be very beautiful or attractive to the eyes of the Jinn. Sometimes the physical beauty is not only the reason. For example, A person may stay clean, looks pretty and also have a good fashion sense more than the other person does but it doesn't mean the Jinn is going to possess that person because he or she looks very beautiful or attractive. Like Humans, Jinns also have taste of liking different things. Some person may not look so attractive but they've some physical features like eyes, lip, nose or styling of hair appears to be more attractive to the eyes of the Jinn to fall in love with that person. They doesn’t care about what kind of a person you are, rather they've found some physical feature of yours are really attractive so they will try to possess you and live inside your body. Jinn who is in love with you will appear to you in your dreams in a form of desired person or sometime as an animal. They'll try to have sex with you when you're asleep. Sometimes the person can feel that someone is sleeping beside them because their body gets heavy or warmer or feel like their body burning into fire and they will become sexually aroused. Feels like someone or something touching them but they can't see them because the Jinns are invisible 4th dimensional creature. So we have to careful when we go to bed and about to take off our dress then we should say 'Bismillah' because the Jinn won't able to see our body. So they will unable to torture you at night.

2. Sadism

A sadist person is someone who enjoys inflicting pain on others. They like seeing other people hurt. Jinn such as 'shayateens' (devils) are tend to be more sadistic than humans by nature. Those Jinns are only take pleasure by hurting and playing with the person's mind. They also possess the person who is in a state of extreme anger and give them evil suggestion to harm someone by taking revenge.

3. Revenge Due To Our Mistake

Sometimes we unintentionally hurt the Jinn by mistake. Jinns are invisible creature. They can see us but we cannot see them. So we may harm them unknowingly without seeing them. When we stay outside, many of us have a habit of urinating in a secluded place or in a hole. We should never urinate in a hole as The Messenger of Allah (SAW) forbade urination into a hole. He said, "You know why it is disliked about urinating into a hole?" "Because It is the residence of the Jinn." (hadith reference: Ahmad, an-Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi.)

We have learnt that some Jinn who lives inside the hole and we hurt them by urinating on them. The Jinn may possess us for revenge and hurt us in many ways like inflicting physical & mental illness, giving us nightmares etc.

4. Not Keeping The House Clean

Not keeping the house clean is one of the reason why we get attacked by the Jinn. We often don't keep the house clean. A lot of dirt in our house attracts the dirty & unclean Jinns to reside in our house. Another reason is that we often do not clean our clothes. Due to the clothes remain impure and we do not even try to notice that our clothes are unclean. Thus a person can get possessed by unclean spirits like Jinn. That Jinn makes them to love dirty, impure & unlcean stuff or stay in that way.

5. Constant Yawning

When we yawn, we don't put our hands in front of our mouths. Because the Jinn will try to mix with the air in our mouth and enters in the body. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah likes sneezing and dislikes yawning. When one of you sneezes and praises Allah, it is a duty on every Muslim to say to him: May Allah have mercy on you. As for yawning, it is from Satan. When one of you yawns, let him hold it back as much as he can. When one of you yawns, Satan laughs at him.” (Sahih Bukhari 5872)

6. Not Making Dua When Going to Toilet

Yes. When we decide to go to the toilet we do not make dua. But why we should make dua before entering the toilet? Because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “These toilets are haunted (inhabited by Jinns), so when anyone of you goes to the toilet let him say, ‘A’udhu Billahi min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaith (I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female Jinns).” (classified as sahih by al-Albani in Sahih Abi Dawud)

The toilet is a filthy place where one should not verbally remember Allah, so the shaytan such evil Jinn takes advantage if one does not remember Him, because remembrance of Allah drives him away. So the command to seek refuge with Allah before that means that one will be protected from the shaytan until he comes out from the toilet.

7. Killing The Snake That Entered In The House

When we see snake in the house then we become very hasty to kill that snake. But we must keep in mind that  Jinns are shape shifting creature. Most of the time, they prefer to transform into human, dogs or snakes. That's why we should not hasten to kill snake because it may be a Jinn that came into the house in a form of snake. So you may kill a Jinn by mistaking it as a snake then you will fall into a grave danger because other Jinn will also try to kill you by possessing your body. Before killing the snake, we should tell the snake to leave the house. If the snake does so then it was indeed a Jinn or if the snake does not leave after listening to your voice then consider it as a normal snake. Then you're permitted to kill that snake.

8. Letting The Childrens Play Outside at Evening

Lot of parents let their to go play outside at afternoon till the evening. It is narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“When the wings of the night spread  – or when evening comes – keep your children in, for the devils (bad Jinns) come out at that time. Then when part of the night has passed, let them go. And close the doors and mention the name of Allah, for the shaytaan (devil) does not open a closed door.

That's why we shouldn’t let our kids & childrens play outside at evening as the bad Jinns spreads everywhere like bees at this time and they may possess or harm the innocent childrens.

9. Stop Remembering Allah (God)

Most common thing to know from someone who is possessed by the Jinn that they don't remember Allah, become lazy when it comes to pray or they doesn't want to go to the mosque in a whole. As Allah says in Quran:

And whosoever turns away (blinds himself) from the remembrance of the Most Beneficent (Allah) ( this Quran and worship of Allah), We appoint for him Shaitan (Satan – devil) to be a Qarin (an intimate companion) to him.

So whoever neglect the remembrance of God (Allah), do not pray or follow islamic duty & principles, surely God (Allah) will appoint an evil Jinn (devil) to be their companion who will take control on them to astray. (Quran: 43:36)
